Galway GAA’s new fundraising initiative, ‘WINAHOMEONGALWAYBAY.COM’, launched in spectacular fashion on Friday, November 14th, in the stunning village of Kinvara. The event, held opposite the popular Pier Head Bar & Restaurant, was a huge success, generating great excitement for the chance to win a magnificent new property worth €360,000.
The luxurious semi-detached home is located in Kinvara on Ireland’s iconic Wild Atlantic Way, known as one of the West Coast’s most sought-after locations. Not only is it within walking distance of the bustling seaside village, but it also boasts breathtaking views of the famous Dunguaire Castle and Galway Bay.
The prize offers one lucky winner the chance to live mortgage-free in picturesque Kinvara, a location also close to major employment hubs like Galway, Ennis, Shannon, and Limerick.
The entire village of Kinvara was buzzing with activity as the Galway GAA team prepared for the big launch. Teams worked hard throughout the morning, ensuring all promotional signage was in place across the county , setting up the mobile ticket sales office, and finally, bringing the entire draw to life by switching the WINAHOMEONGALWAYBAY.COM website live. By noon, with the film crew and photographer ready, the official launch kicked off, expertly hosted by the familiar voice of Ronan Lardner, Master of Ceremonies and host of Galway Bay FM’s ‘The Live Wire’ show.
The official proceedings included interviews with key figures such as Paul Bellew, Aidan Brady, and players and special guests.
Paul Bellew expressed his excitement, stating that the draw offers a chance to win an incredible home and that “All proceeds are going to the continued development of facilities for Galway GAA“. He added that the super prize in a fabulous locality could see someone living mortgage-free in a few months.
Galway Bay FM was live on air from the launch, with ‘The Live Wire with Ronan Lardner‘ show broadcasting from 12 PM to 3 PM. The excitement continued throughout the afternoon with a prize giveaway, including six tickets for the main draw. Find out who won the tickets here!
